Today, I would like to talk about Lake Tanuki in Fujinomiya city

(near Shizuoka city).

Recommended course 
Lake Tanuki → Shiraito & Otodome Falls → Fujisan Hongu Sengen Shrine

We can provide chartered taxi or microbus  

from JR Shizuoka station and Shimizu Port.

Approx 90 minutes to this lake from JR Shizuoka station
Approx 80 minutes to this lake from Shimizu Port 

Start from other JR station is  also possible.  

Have you ever heard about Lake Tanuki?

This is the Lake Tanuki. 
situated on the western side of Mount Fuji.

It is called Diamond Fuji.

Though this lake is not well known to foreign travelers,

it is well known to Japanese photo fans as one of the best 

photo spots of Mt.Fuji.

If you would like to enjoy peaceful and leisurely atmosphere,

Lake Tanuki is highly recommended.

Highlights in the surrounding area.

Double diamond Mt.Fuji.

Could be seen around April 20th, and around August 20th

This lake is not as touristic as  Lake Kawaguchi.

Camp site by the lake. (Japanese language)

South Camp site: Just put up your tent and stay there.
Reservation is not needed.

North Camp site: Only for day camp.
You can enjoy B.B.Q viewing Mt.Fuji.
Reservation is needed.

They have B.B.Q equipment rental service.
