Our mission is to be a best partner for the travelers from abroad!
In Shizuoka, sightseeing buses are not as well equipped
as in Tokyo or Osaka.

So the best way to travel around Shizuoka is by taxi.
Above is a van taxi ( capacity:9 pasengers & a driver)

Today, I would like to introduce
3.5 hour sightseeing taxi tour in Shizuoka city.
(※continued from my last blog)
the itinerary

1,Miho-no-Matsubara → 2,Nihondaira Plateau
3,Kunozan Toshogu Shrine →  → Shizuoka Station

Approx.3.5hours/JPY 21,800 per one taxi ( regular taxi capacity: 4 persons )

Today I would like to write about  3.Kunozan Toshogu Shrine.

Unchanged for 4 centuries, a beautiful and extravagant shrine.

On Trip Advisor site,it ihas been certified 1 of 156 things to do in Shizuoka.
Moreover In Shizuoka It was awarded a certificate of excellence.

From Nihondaira Plateau to Kunozan Toshogu Shrine,
you can go by the ropeway (takes only 5 minutes)

The view from this ropeway is really beautiful!

1,750 JPY ticket is recommended.

You can also climb up stone stairs from the foot of this mountain.
There are 1,159 steps.

Most visitors choose the ropeway (as part of a round trip to Nihondaira).

Please note that it is difficult for wheelchair users
to visit this place.

There are many stone steps.

This beautiful shrine is dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu(1543~1616)
the first shogun of the Edo period.

The main shrine was built 400 years ago,
and designated a National Treasure in 2010.

The whole shrine is historically invaluable and has remained
in excellent repair from the very moment of its founding.

The mausoleum of Tokugawa Ieyasu

Tokugawa Ieyasu laid the foundations of the Edo Era,
a time of peace lasted nearly 300 years.

He passed away at the age of 75 years, a longevity
almost unheard of at the time.

This is why Kunozan Toshogu Shrine has become
a symbol of health, safety and recovery from illness.
