Today, I would like to talk about "Fujisan Hongu Sengen Shrine".
(part of Mt.Fuji World Heritage)

Recommended course
Lake Tanuki → Shiraito & Otodome Falls → Fujisan Hongu Sengen Shrine

We can provide chartered (van)taxi, mucro bus
from JR Shizuoka stationor Shimizu Port.

Start from other places is also possible.

Located  in Fujinomiya City Shizuoka Prefecture.
This shrine is well known as the headquarters for over 1,300
Sengen shrines in Japan.

(originally built in 9th century for the protection from
volcanic eruptions.)

I took this photo in March,2017.

Our guests from China in March, 2017.
Welcome to Fujinomiya!

Many Japanese people venerate this shrine as a guardian deity
for disaster prevention, easy childbirth, navigation, fishing, agriculture,
and weaving.

Tokugawa Ieyasu, who established the Edo shogunate
in the 17th century  built the present main shrine in 1604.

The shrine is also a traditional starting point of Mt.Fuji.
Ancient people washed their bodies here before climbing Mt.Fuji.

Please  enjoy the very clean water of Mt.Fuji!

This river flows vigorously.

Omiya Yokocho

This is a local food court area near the shrine.

Fujinomiya yakisoba is the most popular food here!
(fried noodles)

Many Japanese visit Fujinomiya Sengen Shrine and after that,
enjoy local foods.

Fujinomiya yakisoba was awarded the 1st prize of local foods
in Japan! Please try it!

Please enjoy your stay at Fujinomiya!
We are looking forward to meeting you!

Thank you!

Customers' Voice #9 / Shimizu Port private tour

HI Hirokane

Sorry for the late response.
We were still on the cruise when I received your email.

We had a great trip! We did visit your taxi tour in Shimizu and had a wonderful time!

Everything went very well! Except that the clouds were blocking Mt Fuji!!

So now we will have to come back one day.
Thanks again
